Can psychologists work in drug rehab centers?

Can you explain more about education and so im not sure, my psych teacher, but thats DIF sory HOW and why not? I think YA annoying issue that I feel in danger? Absolutely. Much of the abuse is psychological - it's not just the physical desires that must be overcome. As a psychologist, you go to college, completing an undergraduate degree and then completing a doctorate in psychology to be "Dr. whateveryournameis" You can without a consultant, but you have several options if you're a doctor. Note that there is a difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist, the latter a doctor, and continue with school, residency, etc. Psychologists can, if they are interested and rehabilitation centers employ. Get a doctor and apply! If you can not do, you can always license as a social worker, marriage and family therapist, or a certified drug counselor. Go for distance students think! Good luck! safe. I personally will not be comprehensive, but this page will help you a lot: lots of info http://wwwbls.gov/oco/ocos067.htm understood. I have had the privilege of several psychologists in substance abuse treatment facilities .
